Collection: Klara Glosova

Klara Glosova was born in Brno, Czech Republic in 1969. She studied painting at the New York Studio School of Drawing, Painting and Sculpture before moving out west and settling in Seattle, Washington. In 2009 she founded Nepo house, a collaborative project space in Seattle’s Beacon Hill neighborhood.

Klara’s paintings are introspective and autobiographical, inspired by dreams, domestic life and her personal experiences growing up in Eastern Europe. Her work has been shown in galleries, museums and various project spaces for over 20 years. She is a recipient of several awards including Seattle Magazine’s Spotlight Award, the New Foundation Fellowship and 4Culture Artist Grant. She has been a finalist for the Stranger Genius Award and the Betty Bowen Award.
