NEW SPACE

NEW SPACE

Exhibition: June 12 - July 24, 2021

Opening reception: June 12, 2 - 5 PM

After more than five years since our relocation to the Pacific Northwest from Los Angeles, we’re pleased to announce that we’ve moved into a new space in the industrial, art-enclave that is the Georgetown neighborhood of Seattle. We are delighted to present our inaugural group exhibition, New Space, opening on June 12, 2021, which takes into account both the gallery’s physical shift in space and acknowledges the substantial transitions in the social & psychic planes that we’ve collectively experienced over the course of the last year.

New Space presents an intentionally broad group of works in both discipline and narrative, which we hope will urge consideration of the potentially pivotal moment in which we find ourselves, and support reflection for moving forward with a sense of presence, resilience, enhanced inner knowledge, and connectedness. Ranging from lush & harmonious imagined future landscapes to works that grapple with the shadow self and target the absurdity of humanness and its constructs, to iconic & potent reconfigured emblems of civic movements, politics, and pop culture, New Space aims to reflect and connect the multitude of human experiences shared at a global level throughout the last year & support spacious visioning for an as-yet undefined future. We are embracing the process of transformation and continued expansion ahead of us, maintaining art & artists as a core component of that path, and look forward to welcoming you to our New Space. To adhere to the transitional nature of the moment, we will be switching out a number of works in the show for the month of July, for fun, and as a measure of energy exchange.
